  • 3 cups Cheerios
  • ½ cup peanut butter Use creamy peanut butter for easier mixing.
  • ½ cup honey Maple syrup can be substituted.
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Optional

Preparation

  • In a microwave-safe glass bowl, combine the peanut butter, honey, and vanilla extract if using. Microwave the mixture for 1 minute to soften and blend.
  • Whisk the warmed mixture until smooth. Add the Cheerios and stir thoroughly to coat.

Setting

  • Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment or wax paper.
  • Transfer the mixture into the pan and press down firmly, creating an even layer.
  • Refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours to allow the bars to set. Once set, remove from the pan and cut into 9 squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. To freeze, wrap individually and store in a freezer bag. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
