  • 4 cups Fresh peaches, peeled and chopped Choose ripe, juicy peaches for best flavor.
  • 1 package Pie dough Use either homemade or store-bought.
  • 1/2 cup Granulated or brown sugar Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon Provides warmth and spice.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg Enhances the peach flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Butter, melted For brushing on top before baking.

Possible Substitutions

  • 1 gluten-free pie crust Use for a gluten-free version.
  • 2 cups Canned or frozen peaches Drain well if using canned.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, combine the chopped peaches with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • Roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thick and cut out circles about 4 inches in diameter.
  • Place a spoonful of the peach mixture in the center of each dough circle.
  • Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  • Brush the tops with melted butter.

Baking

  • Place the bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with ice cream or drizzled with caramel. These bombs can also be frozen for up to three months.
