  • 6 ripe peaches, sliced Choose ripe peaches for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Adjust to taste for sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Topping Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Substitute with gluten-free flour if needed.
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats Ensure oats are gluten-free if necessary.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, toss sliced peaches with granulated sugar and cinnamon until well coated.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, oats, and melted butter until the mixture is crumbly.
  • Spread the peach mixture evenly in a greased baking dish and sprinkle the topping over the peaches.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbling.
  • Let cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Serve warm, right out of the oven, best enjoyed with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can add some chopped nuts or coconut to the topping for extra flavor and crunch. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days.
