Ingredients
  

For the peach mixture

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced Choose ripe, fresh peaches for the best flavor.
  • ½ cup granulated sugar For the peach mixture.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

For the batter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar Remaining sugar for the batter.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted Ensure it's fully melted before mixing.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, combine sliced peaches with ½ cup sugar and cinnamon; let sit for about 10 minutes.
  • In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, milk, and melted butter until smooth.

Assembly and Baking

  • Pour half the batter into the prepared dish; layer the peach mixture on top, then drizzle with the remaining batter.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Peach cobbler is best served warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel sauce. To store leftovers, allow cooling, then cover tightly or transfer to an airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
