  • ½ cup Butter Melted
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 cups Sugar Divided
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 4 cups Peach slices Peeled and sliced

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Melt the butter in a casserole dish while the oven heats up.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, one cup of sugar, and baking powder with a whisk.
  • Slowly mix in the milk to create a smooth batter.
  • Pour the batter over the melted butter in the casserole dish (do not stir!).

Cooking

  • In a medium saucepan, place the peeled and sliced peaches.
  • Add the fresh lemon juice and remaining one cup of sugar over the peaches.
  • Cook the peach mixture over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  • Pour the cooked peach mixture over the batter in the dish.
  • Bake in the oven at 375 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm; add vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel sauce for extra indulgence. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for up to three months.
