Ingredients
  

Fruit Filling

  • 4 cups sliced peaches (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Batter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour blend
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, combine sliced peaches, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
  • Pour melted butter into a baking dish.
  • Pour the batter over the butter, then spoon the peach mixture on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.

Notes

Use fresh peaches when in season for the best flavor. If using canned peaches, be sure to drain them well to avoid excess liquid. For added flavor, sprinkle some cinnamon on top before baking. Don't skip the vanilla extract for added depth.
