Steak Ingredients
  • 2 pieces boneless rib-eye steaks
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For brushing the steaks
Mustard Mayo
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

Method

Cooking
  1. Heat a grill pan or cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the black pepper, paprika, ground coriander, and garlic powder.
  3. Brush both sides of the steak with olive oil.
  4. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the surface of the steak, ensuring it’s well-coated.
  5. Sear the steak in the hot pan for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
  7. While the steak is resting, mix the mustard and mayonnaise together to create the mustard mayo.
  8. Slice the steak against the grain and serve with the mustard mayo on the side.

Notes

To enhance the dish, serve with roasted vegetables, fresh garden salad, or garlic mashed potatoes. Pickles also make a great tangy accompaniment.
