  • 4 pieces bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 cups green beans, trimmed
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preparation

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Pat chicken thighs dry and season with salt and pepper.
  • Add them skin-side down to the hot skillet. Sear chicken for 6–7 minutes on the skin side until golden.
  • Flip and cook another 5 minutes.
  • Add minced garlic to the pan and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in the honey-soy mixture.
  • Toss in green beans and stir gently.
  • Let the sauce bubble and thicken for 5–7 minutes, spooning it over the chicken occasionally.
  • Plate the chicken with green beans and drizzle extra sauce on top.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley.

Notes

This dish pairs well with fluffy rice or creamy mashed potatoes. For a lighter option, serve it alongside a fresh garden salad. You can also turn it into a wrap or sandwich for lunch.
