For the sauce

  • 6 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 1 tbsp garlic minced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese grated

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  • Stir in the garlic powder and salt.
  • Sprinkle in the flour and whisk until well combined.
  • Gradually add the heavy whipping cream and milk, stirring continuously.
  • Cook until the sauce thickens, then reduce the heat.
  • Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Serve over your favorite pasta.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let the sauce cool and transfer to an airtight container. It can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently, adding a splash of milk if it thickens too much. Tips: Use fresh garlic for best flavor. Whisk continuously while adding cream and milk to avoid lumps.
