  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese

Preparation

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute.
  • Stir in garlic powder and salt.
  • Whisk in the flour and cook for another minute.
  • Gradually add heavy whipping cream and milk, whisking continuously until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Notes

For serving, consider topping with grilled chicken, shrimp, or sautéed vegetables. Garnish with fresh parsley or extra parmesan cheese. Store leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat gently, adding a splash of milk if necessary.
