Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure your butter is at room temperature for easy creaming.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs Beaten in one at a time until fully incorporated.
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Don't overmix the dough once you add the flour.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips Use mini chocolate chips for extra chocolatey bites.

For the Filling

  • 1 cup Nutella A warm, gooey center.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture and stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Scoop a tablespoon of dough and flatten it slightly; place a teaspoon of Nutella in the center, then wrap the dough around the Nutella to form a ball.
  • Place the cookie dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Baking

  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
  • Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Freeze the cookie dough before baking for longer storage.
