Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Base

  • 240 grams brown butter Melted until golden brown
  • 70 grams granulated sugar
  • 140 grams brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 pieces eggs Large eggs
  • 300 grams all-purpose flour
  • 200 grams chocolate chips For mixing in
  • 40 grams chocolate chips For topping

For the Filling

  • 150 grams Nutella For stuffing

Preparation

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until well combined and slightly creamy.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and the cooled brown butter into the sugar and egg mixture. Mix until smooth.
  • Gently fold in the all-purpose flour until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Add the 200 grams of chocolate chips to the batter and fold them in for a delicious chocolatey bite.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a pie dish lightly.
  • Pour half of the cookie dough into the prepared dish. Spoon the Nutella in the center, then spread the remaining dough over the top.
  • Bake the pie for approximately 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown, and the center is set.
  • Allow the cookie pie to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Enjoy warm with vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or caramel sauce. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for up to two months. When reheating, use oven or microwave.
