Ingredients
  

Cookie Base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure it is at room temperature.
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute for gluten-free flour.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Filling

  • Nutella for filling Use about 1 teaspoon per cookie.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Scoop a tablespoon of dough, add a teaspoon of Nutella in the center, and cover with another tablespoon of dough.
  • Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool before serving.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes for thicker cookies. Serve with a scoop of ice cream or a glass of milk.
