Layers

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans Alternative nuts can be used.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup To drizzle on top.

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy whipping cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, creating a light and fluffy filling.
Assembly
  1. In a 9×13 inch dish, start by spreading a thin layer of the cream mixture.
  2. Place a layer of chocolate chip cookies over the cream layer, breaking them as needed to cover evenly.
  3. Spoon half of the cream mixture over the cookie layer and spread evenly.
  4. Sprinkle half of the mini chocolate chips, crushed candy canes, and chopped pecans over the cream.
  5. Add another layer of cookies followed by the remaining cream mixture.
  6. Top with the remaining mini chocolate chips, crushed candy canes, chopped pecans, and drizzle chocolate syrup on top.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the cookies to soften and flavors to meld.
  8. Serve chilled, slicing like a lasagna.

Notes

For added holiday cheer, use colored sprinkles along with the crushed candy canes. If short on time, look for pre-made whipped topping to save on preparation. For a festive touch, consider using mint-flavored chocolate chip cookies for the base layer. Be sure to let it chill overnight for the best flavor and texture.
