  • 1 tsp Salt For seasoning
  • 1 tsp Pepper For seasoning
For assembling the burger
  • 4 pieces Burger buns Toasted for better texture.
  • 4 slices Cheese (optional) Add on top of patties during the last minute of cooking.
  • 1 leaf Lettuce
  • 1 large Tomato Sliced
  • 1 large Onion Sliced
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup For topping
  • 1 tbsp Mustard For topping

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Form your patties: Shape the ground beef into patties, making a small indent in the center of each to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
  3. Season well with salt and pepper on both sides.
Cooking
  1. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, adjusting for your preferred doneness.
  2. If using cheese, add a slice on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking and close the grill lid to melt.
  3. Toast the buns lightly on the grill while the patties finish cooking.
Assembly
  1. Assemble your burger: Start with the bottom bun, add lettuce, the patties, tomatoes, onions, and your choice of sauces, then finish with the top bun.

Notes

Serve with crispy fries or a fresh side salad. For a fun twist, add avocado or a fried egg on top. Leftover burgers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or on a skillet.
