Ingredients

Brownie Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter Can substitute with coconut oil for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar Brown sugar can also be used for deeper flavor.
  • 2 large eggs Flax eggs can be used for a vegan twist.
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour blends.
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt A pinch will elevate the flavors.
  • 3 bars Milky Way candy bars Chop into bite-sized pieces. Substitute with similar chocolate candy if needed.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar until combined.
  • Allow the butter mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  • Chop the Milky Way bars into bite-sized pieces and fold them gently into the brownie batter.
  • Pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined baking dish and spread evenly.
  • Bake for about 25-30 minutes. The edges should look set while the center remains soft.
  • Allow to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares.

Notes

For best results, avoid overmixing the batter. Check the brownies a few minutes before the baking time ends with the toothpick test. If you prefer variations, other candy bars can be used or combined.
