Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface until it forms a large circle.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crumbled cooked Italian sausage, marinara sauce, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
- Spread the sausage mixture evenly over the pizza dough.
- Using a pizza cutter, cut the dough into small squares or triangles.
- Stack the pieces on top of each other to form a ring shape in a greased 9-inch cake pan.
- Drizzle olive oil over the top of the assembled pizza ring.
Baking
- Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the dough turns golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
This dish is best enjoyed fresh out of the oven. Pair it with a garden salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. For added fun, serve with dipping sauces like ranch or extra marinara. Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3-4 days, reheating in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
