Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle.
- Spread marinara sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, keeping a border around the edges.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce, followed by pepperoni slices, bell peppers, and black olives.
- Starting from one long edge, roll the dough into a log, ensuring the filling stays inside.
- With a sharp knife, cut the log in half lengthwise, but leave one end intact to create a twist.
- Twist the two halves together to form a braid. Shape it into a circle on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and salt and pepper. Brush this flavorful mixture over the top of the braid.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the braid is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve warm and enjoy your mouthwatering creation!
Notes
For the best experience, serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Consider adding a fresh salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. For leftovers, refrigerate for up to three days and reheat in the oven.
