Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Cook the mac and cheese according to the package instructions, then set it aside to cool.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and diced onions until the beef is fully cooked and the onions are translucent. Season this mixture with salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine the cooked ground beef with the crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, and the mac and cheese. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
Assembly and Cooking
- Take each frozen tater tot and use your thumb to make a small indent in the center.
- Spoon a small amount of the mac and cheese mixture into each tater tot’s indent, then press another tater tot gently on top.
- Repeat until all the tater tots and filling are used.
- Arrange the stuffed tater tots on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve the Mac and Cheese Bacon Burger Stuffed Tater Tots hot — and watch them vanish!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can freeze the unbaked stuffed tater tots for longer storage. Reheat in the oven for best results.
