Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Can be substituted with turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
  • 6 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 12 oz pasta (penne or rotini) Feel free to use any pasta shape you enjoy.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese Can substitute with mozzarella or pepper jack for a different flavor.
  • 2 cups Alfredo sauce Use low-fat Alfredo sauce for a lighter version.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped turkey bacon until it’s crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In that same skillet, add the ground beef. Cook until it’s nicely browned, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet, then pour in the Alfredo sauce. Stir everything together until well combined.
  5. Mix in the crispy turkey bacon and the shredded cheddar cheese. Keep stirring until the cheese has melted and coats the pasta.
  6. Serve your delicious pasta warm, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For longer storage, consider freezing portions in freezer-safe bags but be aware the texture of the pasta may change when reheated.
