Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onions over medium heat until the beef is browned. Drain any excess grease.
- Stir in the diced pickles, cooked macaroni, crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar, ketchup, and mustard until everything is well combined.
- Roll out the refrigerated pie crusts on a floured surface. Cut out circles using a cookie cutter or the rim of a small bowl.
- Spoon a generous amount of the cheeseburger mixture onto one half of each dough circle.
- Fold the other half over, creating a half-moon shape, and crimp the edges with a fork to seal.
- Arrange the hand pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is a lovely golden brown.
- Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a shine on your crust, brush the tops with a beaten egg before baking. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze unbaked hand pies for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven for best results.
