- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked macaroni, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, diced onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Slice a slit down the length of each hot dog and stuff it with a slice of American cheese and a slice of bacon.
- Fill each hot dog bun with the loaded mac cheeseburger mixture and insert a stuffed hot dog into each bun.
Batter Preparation
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and milk to create a smooth batter.
Frying
- Dip each loaded hot dog into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pot or deep fryer until it reaches 350°F.
- Carefully lower the battered hot dogs into the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oil and let drain on paper towels.
Notes
