  • 1 lb gnocchi Can substitute with pasta or gluten-free gnocchi.
  • 1/2 lb ground beef Make sure it's well-browned for maximum flavor.
  • 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 onion, diced Cooks until soft and translucent.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese For extra cheesiness, mix some cheese into the skillet with the beef.
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by boiling a pot of water and cooking the gnocchi according to package instructions.
  2. In a separate skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it is browned.
  3. Add in the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion becomes soft and translucent.
  4. Mix in the crumbled bacon, ketchup, mustard, and season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  5. Drain the cooked gnocchi and add it to the skillet with the beef mixture, stirring everything together.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and cover the skillet with a lid to let the cheese melt.
  7. Once the cheese is beautifully melted, remove the skillet from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days, or frozen. Reheat in a skillet with a splash of water to restore texture.
