Preparation

  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  • Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.
  • Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden.
  • Let cool on wire racks before serving.
