Main Ingredients

  • 6 slices Tortillas Can use corn or flour tortillas.
  • 1 pound Ground beef Can be replaced with black beans or lentils for a vegetarian version.
  • 1 cup Salsa con queso For drizzling over the beef.
  • 1 cup Cheese (optional) Shredded cheese for topping.
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream (optional) For serving.
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning (optional) For flavoring the beef.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add taco seasoning to the beef and mix well.
  • In a baking dish, layer tortillas at the bottom.
  • Spread a layer of the seasoned beef over the tortillas.
  • Pour salsa con queso over the beef, and sprinkle cheese on top.
  • Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until heated through and cheese is bubbly.

Serving

  • Serve hot from the oven, topped with a dollop of sour cream if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding diced onions, bell peppers, or corn with the ground beef. You can prepare ingredients in advance to save time. Customize with your favorite veggies or spices.
