  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour Gluten-free flour blends are suitable alternatives.
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1 pinch Sea salt Sprinkled on top for extra flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) for even baking.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate and butter. Microwave in 20-second increments, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  • Whisk in granulated sugar once the chocolate mixture cools slightly. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until glossy.
  • Stir in vanilla extract, followed by the flour, mixing until just combined.
  • Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper. Pour the batter in and smooth it out.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, until edges are set but the center jiggles slightly.
  • Allow brownies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before cutting. Serve warm for the best lava effect.
