Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, crushed pineapple (with juice), eggs, vegetable oil, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  • Pour and spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  • Add pineapple chunks over the batter for a burst of texture and visual appeal, if desired.

Baking

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm or chilled.

Notes
