Pizza Base Ingredients

  • 1 batch Pizza dough You can use homemade or store-bought pizza dough.
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce Use your favorite brand or homemade sauce.
  • 1 cup Shredded mozzarella cheese Fresh mozzarella can also be used for better flavor.
  • 10 leaves Fresh basil leaves Torn into smaller pieces.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil For drizzling.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into small rounds.
  • Place the dough rounds on a baking sheet.
  • Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on each round.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  • Tear basil leaves and distribute them over the cheese.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

Serve with a side of marinara sauce for dipping. Garnish with extra fresh basil or a sprinkle of parmesan cheese for added flavor. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
