Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Fresh Brussels sprouts Trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices Thick-cut bacon Cooked until crispy
  • 1/4 cup Hot honey Can substitute with regular honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For roasting
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning

Optional Flavors

  • 1 tsp Garlic powder Optional, for extra flavor
  • 1 tbsp Balsamic vinegar For added depth

Instructions

Preparation

  • Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Rinse under cold water and pat dry.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the skillet, leaving the rendered fat for flavor. Once cooled, chop the bacon into bite-sized pieces.
  • In the same skillet with the bacon fat, add the Brussels sprouts. Toss and season with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder. Roast for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and tender.
  • Once cooked, stir in the crispy bacon and drizzle with hot honey. Toss until everything is evenly coated.
  • Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy immediately. Optionally, add a splash of balsamic vinegar for extra flavor.

Notes

Ensure Brussels sprouts are dry before roasting to avoid steaming. This dish is best enjoyed fresh but can be prepped ahead of time and reheated. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
