Preparation

  • Mince the garlic cloves finely.
  • Measure out honey, soy sauce, and cornstarch mixed with water.

Cooking

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, add minced garlic, honey, and soy sauce. Stir gently until combined.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Slowly add the cornstarch slurry while continuously stirring until the sauce thickens to a glossy consistency.
  • Taste test and adjust sweetness or garlic level as needed.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using.

Notes

Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Reheat gently before use.
