  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons fresh red chilies Adjust based on desired spice level.

Preparation

  • In a pan, add water, rice vinegar, sugar, and mix well until it dissolves.
  • Let it come to a boil, then add the garlic and red chilies.
  • Prepare a cornstarch slurry by mixing 1 tablespoon of water with the cornstarch, then add it to the pan.
  • Mix well until it thickens.
  • Remove from the stove and let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. For longer storage, consider freezing in small portions. Adjust sweetness and spice level as desired.
