Ingredients
  

Fresh Ingredients

  • 4 medium Tomatoes (halved) Use ripe, fresh tomatoes for the best flavor.
  • 1 small Onion (cut into large chunks)
  • 1 medium Jalapeno (seeds removed and coarsely chopped) Adjust the heat by adding more or less jalapeno to taste.
  • 1 cup Fresh cilantro
  • 3 cloves Garlic (coarsely chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • 0.25 tsp Sea salt Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Preparation

  • Halve the tomatoes.
  • Cut the onion into large chunks.
  • Remove the seeds from the jalapeno and coarsely chop it.
  • Coarsely chop the garlic.
  • Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  • Mix well to combine.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  • Serve immediately or chill for later.

Notes

It’s best enjoyed fresh but can last for about 3-5 days in the fridge. If you want to keep it longer, consider freezing it in small portions. Let the salsa sit for about 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together. Customize by adding ingredients like diced mango or black beans.
