  • 6 cups Fresh peaches, sliced Use ripe, fresh peaches for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup Oatmeal
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Optional: sprinkle extra on top for added flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the fresh peaches and place them in a baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine oatmeal, sugar, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  • Pour the mixture over the peaches evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, pairs well with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for up to a week. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
