  • 1 cup buttermilk Can be substituted with milk and vinegar or lemon juice.
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour For coating the chicken.
  • 1 tsp paprika Provides flavor and color to the flour mixture.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, soak chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
  • In another bowl, mix flour and paprika.
  • Remove chicken from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and coat each piece with the flour mixture.

Cooking

  • Place the coated chicken on a baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For an extra crispy crust, spray the chicken lightly with cooking oil before baking. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking to enhance flavor and moisture.
