Glaze Ingredients

  • ¼ cup milk For the glaze.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Gradually add 2½ cups of flour, mixing until a dough forms.

  • Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a towel. Let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, about 1 hour.

  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 375°F (190°C).

  • Once done, remove the donuts and let them drain on paper towels.

Glazing

  • For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and butter extract until smooth.
  • Dip the tops of the cooled donuts into the glaze and let them set.
