Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef or turkey Use lean ground meat for a healthier option.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1.5 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced Diced small for even mixing.
  • 0.25 cup breadcrumbs Ensure enough binder to keep meatballs together.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil or apply cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground meat, egg, dried parsley, dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, diced onion, and breadcrumbs. Mix thoroughly.
  • Roll the mixture into 2-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart.

Cooking

  • Bake the meatballs for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Flip halfway if using a dark-coated baking sheet.

Serving

  • Serve the meatballs hot with your favorite sauce over pasta or as an appetizer.

Notes

To store, place in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
