Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the egg whites until foamy.
- Add the cream of tartar and continue to beat until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, and beat until stiff peaks form.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and green gel food coloring to achieve the desired shade.
- Transfer the meringue to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
Baking
- Pipe the meringue onto parchment-lined baking sheets, forming wreath shapes.
- Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until the meringues are dry and crisp.
- Let them cool completely before carefully removing them from the parchment.
Serving
- Serve the wreaths with berries and whipped cream for decoration.
Notes
Store your meringues in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. To keep them longer, freeze completely cooled meringues.
