Ingredients
  

Meringue Ingredients
  • 4 large large egg whites, room temp
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • green gel food coloring For coloring the meringue

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whip the egg whites until foamy.
  3. Add the cream of tartar and continue to beat until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, and beat until stiff peaks form.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract and green gel food coloring to achieve the desired shade.
  6. Transfer the meringue to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
Baking
  1. Pipe the meringue onto parchment-lined baking sheets, forming wreath shapes.
  2. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until the meringues are dry and crisp.
  3. Let them cool completely before carefully removing them from the parchment.
Serving
  1. Serve the wreaths with berries and whipped cream for decoration.

Notes

Store your meringues in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. To keep them longer, freeze completely cooled meringues.
