Preparation

  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Baking

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Let cool before serving.
