Ingredients
  

For the Cookies

  • 200 g Butter Use unsalted butter for best results.
  • 100 g Sugar Granulated sugar.
  • 1 packet Vanilla sugar or 1 tsp extract Vanilla sugar enhances flavor.
  • 250 g Flour All-purpose flour.
  • pinch Salt To balance sweetness.
  • to taste Powdered sugar Optional for dusting before serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Brown the butter and let it cool.
  • Mix in sugar, vanilla, salt, and flour until well combined.
  • Shape the dough into logs and chill in the refrigerator.
  • Slice the chilled logs into rounds.

Baking

  • Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 12–15 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Store Heath Sand cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for longer storage. Adjust powdered sugar topping based on personal preference.
