  • 1/2 onion diced
  • 3 cups chopped cabbage (about 1/2 head)
  • 1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes, no sugar added
  • 4 cups beef broth or bone broth Use homemade stock for a heartier taste.
  • 1 cup water Adjust thickness with additional water as needed.

  • In a large pot, heat the olive oil or butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and diced onion, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  • Add the ground beef to the pot, cooking until browned.

  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for about 20-30 minutes.
