Ingredients

For the Punch Base
  • 2 packets Unsweetened Lemon-Lime Kool-Aid (0.13 oz each)
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 can Pineapple Juice (12 oz)
  • 1 can Frozen Lemonade Concentrate, thawed (12 oz)
  • ½ liter Sprite
  • Ice
  • Red Sanding Sugar for glass rim (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Pour 2 quarts of water into a 1-gallon pitcher.
  2. Add the Kool-Aid mix and sugar, stirring continuously until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  3. Pour in the pineapple juice and thawed frozen lemonade concentrate into the pitcher.
  4. Stir the mixture thoroughly to ensure all the flavors combine seamlessly.
  5. Moisten the rim of each serving glass by dipping it into water, then dip it into red sanding sugar to create a festive edge.
  6. Just before serving, add ice cubes and the Sprite to the punch in the pitcher.
  7. Stir gently to mix the carbonation evenly without losing the fizz.
  8. Carefully pour the punch into the prepared glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

To store any leftover punch, keep it in the fridge in a sealed container and consume within 1-2 days. Avoid freezing to maintain flavor and texture; however, leftover juices can be frozen separately. For variations, consider adding fresh fruit slices, reducing sugar, or even making an adult version with vodka or rum.
