Ingredients
  

Marinade

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (6 g)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (2 g)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into cubes (450 g)
  • Wooden or metal skewers Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before grilling.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, maple syrup, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and marinate for 20–30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers.
  • Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  • Grill the chicken for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, and brush with the remaining marinade during cooking until the chicken is golden and glazed.

Serving

  • Serve hot with tzatziki, pita, or a fresh Greek salad.

Notes

This dish can be customized with various herbs or vegetables. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Freezing marinated chicken before grilling lasts up to three months.
