Steak Marinade Ingredients

  • 12 ounces steak Any cut of steak preferred.
  • 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic for better flavor.
  • 2 sprigs rosemary, minced Fresh rosemary is recommended.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, and minced rosemary.
  • Place the steak in a resealable plastic bag or a dish, and pour the marinade over it.
  • Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for more flavor.

Grilling

  • Preheat the grill to high heat.
  • Remove the steak from the marinade and allow excess to drip off before grilling.
  • Grill the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, allow the steak to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes before grilling. Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness, aiming for 130°F for medium-rare. Marinade variations include adding red wine, mustard, or spices to taste.
