For the pizza
  • 1 pound store-bought pizza dough Fresh pizza dough recommended
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce Can substitute with pizza sauce or Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to add more cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni Can be substituted with other toppings
For the garlic topping
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into a large circle.
  3. Spread the marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the sauce, then layer the pepperoni slices on top.
  5. Fold the edges of the dough over the filling, pinching to seal and create a crust.
Garlic Mixture Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Brush the garlic mixture over the crust.
Baking
  1. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Best served warm with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping. To store, let the pizza cool, wrap tightly, and refrigerate. It will stay fresh for about 3-4 days or can be frozen for longer storage.
