Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and dried oregano.
- Brush this flavorful garlic mixture over the dough, covering it well.
- Evenly sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the dough, making sure to leave some space around the edges.
- Lay down slices of fresh mozzarella on top of the shredded mozzarella.
- Roll the dough lengthwise into a log, creating a luscious spiral.
- Twist the log into a spiral shape and place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle the top with grated Parmesan cheese.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and cheese has melted.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with chopped fresh basil, and let it cool for a few moments before slicing.
Notes
Serve warm with a side of marinara sauce for dipping or pair with a fresh salad. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. To reheat, bake at 350°F (180°C) for about 10 minutes.
