Cookie Dough Ingredients

  • 250 g all-purpose flour
  • 150 g unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • a pinch salt

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and mix until well combined.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, spices, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  • Roll out the dough to about 5mm thickness and cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters.
  • Place cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • Let cool and enjoy with cocoa or tea!

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. Consider using different cookie cutters for unique shapes.
