Ingredients
  

For the Garlic Butter

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder Use fresh garlic powder for best taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley Preferably fresh for more flavor.

For the Grilled Cheese

  • 4 slices sandwich bread Hearty bread like sourdough or whole grain is recommended.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese blend Feel free to experiment with different cheese blends.

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley to make garlic butter.
  • Spread the garlic butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  • Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
  • Top with the cheese blend.
  • Place the remaining slices of bread on top, buttered side up.
  • Grill until the bread is golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese pairs wonderfully with a fresh side salad or a bowl of hearty tomato soup. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in a skillet for best results. For variations, consider adding jalapeƱos, fresh herbs, or different cheeses.
