  • 1.5 kg whole chicken pieces Cut into pieces
  • 750 ml vegetable oil For frying
  • 500 ml buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Preparation

  • Soak the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • In a bowl, mix paprika and cayenne pepper.

Cooking

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  • Remove chicken from buttermilk and coat with the spice mixture.
  • Fry the chicken pieces in hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 15-20 minutes.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
