Ingredients
  

Cheese Mixture
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
Batter Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup flour You can use gluten-free flour if preferred.
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup beer Any variety works well.
  • 1 each egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper
Frying Ingredients
  • as needed Oil for frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the cheddar, mozzarella, and pepper jack cheeses.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, beer, egg, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until the batter is smooth.
Frying
  1. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Dip each cheese ball into the batter, making sure it’s fully coated.
  3. Carefully drop the cheese balls into the hot oil and fry them in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Remove them with a slotted spoon and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Notes

Serve hot with dipping sauces like marinara, ranch, or spicy sriracha. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in an air fryer or a preheated oven for best results.
