Preparation
- In a medium bowl, combine the cheddar, mozzarella, and pepper jack cheeses.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, beer, egg, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until the batter is smooth.
Frying
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Dip each cheese ball into the batter, making sure it’s fully coated.
- Carefully drop the cheese balls into the hot oil and fry them in batches for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove them with a slotted spoon and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Notes
Serve hot with dipping sauces like marinara, ranch, or spicy sriracha. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in an air fryer or a preheated oven for best results.
