  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp baking soda
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 3 large eggs Use room temperature for fluffier texture.
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil Can substitute with melted butter.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  • In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy. Add the milk and vegetable oil, and mix well.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let it cool before serving. Top with fresh fruits if desired.

Notes

Best served chilled or at room temperature. Pair with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
